The sun is setting on the last of the month, Father. I am grateful for where I find myself in You. Your sustaining grace is the source of my victory. All praise to You, Loving Father.

Perusing Facebook today a friend shared a post, and I just thought it too good not to share here. (It was on a Facebook page connected to an addiction treatment facility. I know nothing of them but would gladly pass along the contact information to anyone interested.)
Here’s the post.

A water bottle in the supermarket is worth 50 cents approximately. Same bottle in a bar is $2. In a good restaurant or hotel, it can be worth up to $3 and at an airport or on a plane, up to $5.

The bottle is the same, the brand too. The only thing that changes is the place. Each place gives a different value to the same product.

When you feel zero, you’re worthless, when everyone around you despises you, change places, don’t stay there.

Have the courage to change your circle and go to a place where they give you the courage you deserve and consider who you are.

Surround yourself with people who really appreciate your worth.

Don’t settle for less.

A big part of our problem today is that we allow the world to set our worth…and plain and simple the world is really bad at it! I think it has gotten worse in the last couple of generations in that as we have little by little shed our Judeo-Christian foundation, we have come to believe that we just happened. That is, humanity was a fluke of nature. Nothing planned. Not one thing on purpose. Just a big primordial “oops”.
Now maybe that is not what is necessarily being proclaimed but unfortunately, that has become the end result.
But as the water bottle story sets forth, if that’s the story we’re getting regarding our value then we need to “change places”.
I would suggest moving to the original place. In Jesus, we are all of the greatest value. We are so valued that he literally gave His life to ransom us from eternal damnation.
Ephesians 2:4-9, from the heart of mind of the Apostle Paul – inspired by the heart and mind of the Holy Spirit, has so much to say! Will you take a moment and read it…slowly…thoughtfully? Take in every word.

But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved!) For he raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus. So God can point to us in all future ages as examples of the incredible wealth of his grace and kindness toward us, as shown in all he has done for us who are united with Christ Jesus.

God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. NLT

Wow! We who were dead in sin are now seated with Him in the heavenly realms! God appreciates your worth. Don’t settle for less!
