Dear Father, I am filled with joy and gratitude for the blossoming of new relationships. As we embark on this journey together, let us strive to uplift and encourage one another, fostering a sense of hope and excitement for the future. We trust in Your guidance and wisdom in all that we say and do. Amen.

Lord, I am incredibly grateful for the churches I am privileged to serve. Verses 2 & 3 of this passage communicate a lot about how I feel about being a pastor. I have wonderful people to walk this journey with, and I am thankful for them and their companionship. Living on this old earth, we all need lots of prayers to keep us strong and get us through each day. I pray for them, and I know many pray for me. When I pray, I “think of [their] faithful work.” Over the years, we have consistently supported local ministries to help people in need; we’ve gotten behind impacting faith-based films in our local community (FIREPROOF being our first), and been there for evangelistic events in our surrounding area (Will Graham Celebration). We pray for many people, both those close to our hearts and those we may not know – lifting up those ravaged by disease, those struggling with relationships, and those struggling with the many spiritual issues in their lives. Their “loving deeds” include meals for the bereaved and letters of encouragement to those sick or recovering from procedures. We have put together “cheer” plates of goodies encouraging those unable to get out to church any longer. And most recently we created festive gifts for every student at our local elementary school using candy bars and gloves made to look like snowmen. Some strive to reach out and touch whenever possible. Thank You, Lord Jesus, for such loving, caring people with whom to serve!
Lord, we are filled with gratitude for the enduring love You have bestowed upon us. No matter the trials we face or the losses we endure, Your presence sustains us. We find comfort and security in Your unwavering love and care. Thank You, Lord, for Your constant presence in our lives!
